I just spent the last two ans a half months in the San Antonio area while my Mom was in the hospital with leukemia. It has been a rough few months, and Mom went to heaven right after my Birthday. I know she wanted to hold on through Christmas, then through New Years, then my birthday, then she was gone. I am glad she is no longer suffering. I was able to stay and help my Dad for a while, thanks to a loving husband. They are happy to have me back now. Now I will get my brushes out, and get back to painting.

My wish for the new year, is that those in charge of our country take their brains back, do what is best for the country, and not themselves! Like world peace and cure for cancer, not likely to happen, but my wish anyway.....My wish~ Common Sense

A few weeks ago I was tagged to answer some questions from a fellow deviant and to come up with my own questions and pass  on the favor to 10 other poor deviants, to try to answer. I have answered them here, now you take these, answer them change them if you want....then post them.

1) What is your earliest childhood memory?
Finger painting on an easel outside. I remember pine trees about and a chain linked fence. I was around 2yrs old.

2) If you could do anything today, what would it be?
Go and visit my son in Australia.

3) What is your secret guilty delight?
Sitting and doing nothing but watching tv.

4) If you could have one thing but loose everything else, what would it be?
My family

5) Who is your favorite author?
Ooh, depends on my mood....Stephen King.... It was Piers Anthony at one time.

6) What do you collect?
Turtles!

7) Where do you want to be two years from now?
In my studio painting with a waiting list for my paintings....

8) If you could make one change in our government what would it be?
Make our voting booths uncorruptible. Maybe put in a federal thumb print system, so people can only vote once, in one location, and no false people could vote.

9) What is your Mission Statement?
Paint what catches my attention.

10) What are your hobbies?
Can you count my painting? Work, hobbie same?

I don't think artists can avoid being political. Artists are the proverbial canaries in the coalmine. When we stop singing, it's a sure sign of repressive times ahead. (Theresa Bayer)
